Yes, it is Thursday - not your typical rehearsal day for a Saturday wedding. However, I do try to encourage my brides, if at all possible, to have their rehearsal two days prior to the wedding. Why? Because it enables the bride, groom and wedding party to be well-rested and more relaxed on their wedding day. No rushing around on the day before the wedding to get last-minute errands done and then have to rush off to the rehearsal.
Also, the day before is a great day for the bride to have a "spa" day with her bridesmaids and the guys to hang out together and play golf or have their own "spa" day. Yes, spas for guys are becoming the new trend.
Having the rehearsal two days prior also helps when you have an early morning wedding. The rehearsal dinner won't get you home late and, therefore, you can get to bed early to get a good night's rest before the big day.
So, go ahead. Plan that spa day the day before your wedding. Time will be on your side to rest, relax and have fun without having to rush to get to the rehearsal on time.
